The West tributary goes under Veazie Road in Providence just northwest of Branch Avenue - providing a nice access point for investigating the river as it flows south (behind you in the initial viewpoint). Winter is a great time to get a sense of the flow of the river, but with the warmer weather mud was an issue in many places.
